Rijeka means “river” in Croatian. This soap is inspired by the river Zrmanja, from its plunging descent down waterfalls to its calm arrival at the sea. Feel the rush of a burbling river with every wash, and the gentle yet unstoppable flow of nature.

Lavender, rosemary and warm, woody amyris make a herbal scent with a gentle base. You won’t be able to stop smelling this soap, because the mix is so invigorating.

Plant-based and kind to your skin

  • Plant-based. Made from plant oils, butters, essential oils, calendula extract and bentonite clay.
  • Superfatted for comfort. A small amount of oils is deliberately left unsaponified in the bar. These free oils stay on your skin after washing and help support its natural barrier, so it feels soft and balanced.
  • Nourishing plant oils and butter. Organic shea butter, apricot kernel oil and sunflower oil moisturise and leave skin feeling smooth and comfortable.
  • Creamy, gentle lather. Organic olive, coconut and castor oils create a rich lather that cleanses gently.
  • Calendula extract. Made from the petals of the pot marigold, a flower with a long tradition in skincare.
  • Adriatic sea salt. Adds natural minerals and gives a firm bar that lasts longer.
  • Cured for 4 to 6 weeks. The bar is hard and mild by the time it reaches you.

Use it for hands, body, or both. Every bar is cut and designed by hand, so colour, pattern and weight vary slightly. Plastic-free cardboard packaging, with an environmental fact printed on one side.
To make the bar last longer, keep it on a draining dish and let it dry between uses.

Ingredients information

Soypa handmade soaps contain carefully selected, plant-based ingredients, chosen for how they feel on the skin and how they perform in the bar.

Apricot kernel oil contains oleic and linoleic acids and vitamin E. It is a light, quickly absorbed oil that leaves skin feeling soft.

Castor oil* is high in ricinoleic acid. It is a thick, humectant oil that adds a creamy, stable lather to the bar.

Coconut oil* is high in lauric acid. It gives the bar a cleansing, bubbly lather and a firm texture.

Olive oil* is rich in oleic acid and contains vitamin E. It is a mild, conditioning oil that makes a gentle bar.

Shea butter* contains stearic and oleic acids, along with vitamins A and E. It is a rich butter that moisturises the skin and adds creaminess and hardness to the bar.

Sunflower oil* is high in linoleic acid and vitamin E. It is a light oil that leaves skin feeling comfortable and hydrated.

Sea salt* contains minerals such as sodium, magnesium, calcium and potassium. In soap, it gives a firmer bar that lasts longer.

Calendula extract is made from the petals of the pot marigold.

Bentonite is a mineral clay with a smooth texture.

Lavender essential oil has a soft, floral and herbal scent and is a classic in soap making.

Rosemary essential oil comes from the leaves of rosemary and has a fresh, herbal scent.

Amyris essential oil, also called “West Indian sandalwood”, has a warm, soft and woody scent.
