Every summer, Arctic thyme covers patches of the Icelandic Highlands in pink. The Highlands are the inner part of Iceland, with volcanoes, glaciers and steamy geothermal areas.

Arctic thyme powder, kaolin and Moroccan clay go into this bar,  inspired by the Highlands landscape. It is a mild everyday bar for hands and body.

Plant-based and kind to your skin

  • Plant-based. Made from plant oils, butters and minerals.
  • Unscented. Fragrance and essential oils are not added, so the bar keeps only the mild natural aroma of its ingredients.
  • Superfatted for comfort. A small amount of oils is deliberately left unsaponified in the bar. These free oils stay on your skin after washing and help support its natural barrier, so it feels soft and balanced.
  • Nourishing plant oils and butter. Sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, sunflower oil and shea butter moisturise and leave skin feeling smooth and comfortable.
  • Kaolin and Moroccan clay. Two fine mineral clays that give the bar a silky, smooth feel.
  • Creamy, gentle lather. Coconut, castor and olive oils create a rich lather that cleanses gently.
  • Icelandic sea salt. Adds natural minerals and gives a firm bar that lasts longer.
  • Cured for 4 to 6 weeks. The bar is hard and mild by the time it reaches you.

Every bar is cut and designed by hand, so colour, pattern and weight vary slightly. Plastic-free packaging in recycled paper, with an environmental fact printed on one side.
To make the bar last longer, keep it on a draining dish and let it dry between uses.

Sustainability

Our soap bars are plastic-free, plant-based and handmade with carefully selected ingredients, including organic* oils and butters. They are not tested on animals and contain no animal-origin ingredients.

Ingredients information

Soypa handmade soaps contain carefully selected, plant-based ingredients, chosen for how they feel on the skin and how they perform in the bar.

Sweet almond oil is rich in oleic and linoleic acids and contains vitamin E. It is a light, softening oil that leaves skin feeling smooth.

Apricot kernel oil contains oleic and linoleic acids and vitamin E. It is a light, quickly absorbed oil that leaves skin feeling soft.

Castor oil* is high in ricinoleic acid. It is a thick, humectant oil that adds a creamy, stable lather to the bar.

Coconut oil* is high in lauric acid. It gives the bar a cleansing, bubbly lather and a firm texture.

Olive oil* is rich in oleic acid and contains vitamin E. It is a mild, conditioning oil that makes a gentle bar.

Shea butter* contains stearic and oleic acids, along with vitamins A and E. It is a rich butter that moisturises the skin and adds creaminess and hardness to the bar.

Sunflower oil* is high in linoleic acid and vitamin E. It is a light oil that leaves skin feeling comfortable and hydrated.

Sea salt contains minerals such as sodium, magnesium, calcium and potassium. In soap, it gives a firmer bar that lasts longer.

Arctic thyme is a low plant that covers the ground in pink patches across Iceland in summer. In this soap, it is used as a powder.

Kaolin is a fine, soft white clay that gives the bar a silky feel.

Moroccan clay is a mineral clay with a smooth texture.
